I've been lowkey obsessed with the narrative structure of fairy tales lately, and I want more. So you're writing them, and we're all going to learn something valuable in the process.

Your job is to pick a tale, any tale - any genre, any angle, go wild. Western, cyberpunk, epic fantasy, modern slice of life? Whatever. The catch is that it has to have the same moral as the original story. "But not all fairy tales have morals!" you object. Well. Hansel and Gretel seems to teach us that murdering an old lady and stealing her valuables is a great way to survive a famine, and is it wrong?

If you don't already have a favorite, pick a heading on the Wikipedia category and find something that speaks to you. This isn't college I don't give a shit. Post what you're retelling when you sign up, and tell it.
